The City also established the Centre City Underpass Enhancement Program as an important part in building a great downtown core, where visual art is mixed into existing public infrastructure. For Underpass Enhancements, The City of Calgary follows the Council approved Downtown Underpass Urban Design Guidelines. some sites suitable for new tall buildings; the Finsbury Local Plan () identifies these sites in Policy BC9. Policy CS9 also identifies that detailed guidance on urban design is provided in this SPD. The Development Management (DM) Policies () provides more detailed policies to ensure the Core Strategy is effectively implemented.

Beginning in pre-design and continuing throughout the design phases, identify and use opportunities to achieve synergies across disciplines and building systems. ZONING, SITE-PLANNING & DESIGN 4 MODULE 8 LESSON PLAN Management objectives & assigning of zones The appropriate zoning of a marine protected area is fundamental to all other management strategies.

Zoning is a mechanism for assigning overall management objectives and priorities to different areas (zones) within the site or protected area.

Building design that is sensitive and innovative in response to context is encouraged. Where new development is directly abutting lands in a different OCP Urban Place Designation, or it directly abuts a different Development Permit Area, the design should provide a transition between areas in ways.
